Programming

The Program is a broad term which refers to:
Everything we do in order to provide the best possible environment and range of experiences for the optimum growth and development of each child and family using the centre.

Philosophy: Each program is connected to our philosophy which identifies the parameters of learning and development for children and is the basis of planning for experiences and the provision for play. The vision is Belonging, Being and Becoming with the expected outcomes outlined.

Outcomes: Statements of intention, based on the philosophy underlying the program. Learning outcomes state in general terms what the program aims to do, or what the intended outcome will be for the child.

Early Years Learning Framework: The framework we use to guide us in all our planning and programming.
Kindergarten Curriculum Guidelines (WA): The framework we use to support the direction of our intention teaching planning.

Experiences: The planned and spontaneous activities participated in by children in the various areas of the environment.

Evaluation: All play areas are evaluated and reflected upon. Play is the most important part of a child’s day.
